Copthorne Carnival has been running for 52 years and is a highlight of the village calendar. The event is organised by the Copthorne Village Carnival Club a dedicated group of volunteers who work hard each year to make the event happen.
The event helps local organisations to raise funds for the great work they do in the village and everyone gets involved with over a hundred young people taking part in the vent each year.
We are back for another year of fun on the 30th June 2018 to make it happen all over again. This years theme is 40’s Revival.
As per usual you can expect the streets to be lined with floats, dancers and colourful character’s as well as a selection of stalls and games throughout the day. Come the evening the field will be alive with music from a range of some of the best talent we could find. To top all of this off we will be lighting up the sky with fireworks. Please watch this space for the full event lineup which will be announced in May.
The Carnival is a free event for people of all ages to come and enjoy. It is organised by a great team of local volunteers, which without their time and effort the event would simply not be possible! If you want to volunteer or help out in any way please get in contact.
