Support me and hundreds of other walkers on 9th June as we walk 7, 13 or 20 miles under the stars to raise money to help St Catherine’s Hospice care for local terminally ill people.
Getting fit is one of my ongoing goals – unfortunately my love of all things chocolatey tends to hamper my efforts somewhat. But this year, I decided I’m going to do it, and raise money for a brilliant charity all at the same time, so I’ve signed up to walk 13 miles around Horsham for St Catherine’s Hospice. And if I’m going to walk 13 miles throughout the night, I’m going to need your support!
St Catherine’s Hospice provides specialist end of life care and support to local people in Sussex and Surrey with terminal illnesses. Not only providing care to their patients, they also provide much-needed support to those closest to them, such as friends, family and carers, for as long as they need.
It is the ambition of St Catherine’s Hospice to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free, and the hospice cares for around 2000 people per year, but this comes at a cost. It costs over £10m per year to run St Catherine’s, and only one third of that comes from the NHS, with the rest being raised in the community, through events such as this one.
Every pound raised can make a huge difference, from providing specialist inpatient care right down to making sure there’s tea and coffee available for relatives and visitors so please support me in any way you can.
All donations will be gratefully received on my Just Giving Page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/crawleymumbler-stchmidnightwalk
Or you can text ‘CMUM49’ and the amount you’d like to donate (£1, £2, £5, or £10) to 70070.
Thanks for your support!
